When you feel compelled to scale the drapes, but you are also afraid of heights….

My grandma passed away this week. It’s too early for snowdrops here; but they are symbols of renewal and hope, and when the time is right, they will proclaim the coming of Spring. These hoped-for snowdrops are for her.
I will be traveling to be with my family during this time, and will continue posting comics when I return.

When Inspiration Strikes:
Me, grumbling: “If Lab Mice were a cat comic, it would have 100 million followers.”
Inspiration: *smack!* “Then stop throwing a pity-party and get to work!”
And thus, a new series was born….

Happy (?) New Year….
(The sequel to comics “Calendrical Caution” and “Time Bomb”)
–Except I have a very cute Secret Life of Squirrels calendar, so that will be going up!

…How it’s going (or, how it went…).

How it started….

Last year’s “Christmas” card design, which continued a theme of calendrical angst begun in 2020. We shall continue to pursue this theme over the next few days, as yet another New Year approaches on a collision course. Put on some goggles and your sturdiest oven mitts.

Behold, my nine most-liked posts (on Instagram) of 2022! Not surprisingly, they are almost all from Inktober. The overall winner was “Camping,” which is one of my favorites, too.

It’s Christmas Eve!
Introducing this year’s Christmas card design: “Popcorn String.”
This card was inspired by the neighbor couple who lived in the house opposite when I was growing up. They told me once that among their Christmas decorations, they had a popcorn string which the husband made when he was a boy, and which they still hung on their Christmas tree every year. At the time, the string must have been about 60 years old. I had no idea popcorn could last so long. It certainly doesn’t in my house.
Merry Christmas to all!

Two more days ’til Christmas!
“The stockings were all hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.”
It’s not quite Christmas Eve yet (is it Christmas Eve Eve?), but we’re almost there!
Part of a collection of five mini-cards from 2010.
