Color! 🤩
Trying something different for the remainder of December by creating a comic per week using the squares on my Instragram grid. That won’t quite work here on the blog, but I’ll still be posting the three panels for each comic on Monday (or Tuesday, in this week’s case), Wednesday, and Friday, and the complete comic on Friday, as well. Check back tomorrow for the next panel and watch the comic unfold over the week!
(Crossing my fingers that this turns out the way I envision it on IG! Check it out at @labmice_am)

“In the meadow, we can build a snowmouse…”
A little seasonal self-reflexive joke.

For Mr. Snow, this is being nice.
Posting on honor of our first snowstorm of the season today!

Thanksgiving survival tip: don’t bother a knife-wielding cook. 🔪
My old desktop has started refusing to open Photoshop, so all comic editing is on hold until I get a new laptop. Please enjoy this recycled Inktober comic instead!
Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 Enjoy some pie!🥧

Thanksgiving is just a week away! Maybe take a tape measure with you when you purchase your turkey.

I have been known to take a nap with a pile of clean, warm laundry as a pillow, and sympathize entirely with my cats in that regard. This explains why it takes me so long to get through the folding stage….

Thinking up comics to fit the prompts is a challenge, but so is being entirely self-starting! I have quite a long list of ideas that I’m excited to draw, but deciding which one to do first is giving me some choice paralysis.

Elephants and spiders and dragons and toads and…Great Old Ones and…fire demons…and horses and hedgehogs, oh my! I drew a lot of creatures that were not mice for Inktober this year. Just to make the challenge extra-challenging, many of them I have not tried to draw in years (horses, dragons), and I’m sure I’ve never tried to draw a cuttlefish before.

To my surprise, my comic based on “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost was my most popular Inktober post–and so far, my most popular comic on Instagram overall. Hooray for poetry!
