Comics for Credit

Here’s a decade-old comic for you.

During my senior year of college, I approached my drawing professor about doing a cartooning independent study for credit towards my art minor. I would create a self-published comic book for the study, and mold Lab Mice into a fully-fledged cartoon at the same time. The professor was a comic book enthusiast, and agreed to the project. My “textbooks” were How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way by Stan Lee and John Buscema, and The Calvin and Hobbes Tenth Anniversary Book by Bill Watterson.

Naturally, I drew a few comics about the experience.

Comic from Standing on the Edge of Real Life.
