I’ve been under the weather with a cold, which forced me to hit pause on Inktober…but I’m so close, it seems silly not to finish. So Inktober is going to be Inkvember for me for a few days. (Re-) Introducing Mouse’s friend, Hedgie! She starred in a one-off comic a few years ago, but I’d like to bring her in more often. She’s really fun to draw–it’s that crazy hairstyle.
This Inktober is turning into “Lab Mice & Friends,” what with Elephant, Hedgie, Cthulhu, Trevor the Toad, a spider, a dragon, and a horse all making appearances.

October is not only Inktober, it’s also Dysautonomia Awareness Month! I have POTS, a blood circulation disorder and a form of dysautonomia (dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system), and this prompt made me think of the way I describe the fatigue related to POTS–like I have weights attached to all of my limbs. Standing up=imaginary weight lifting.
It’s also kind of how I’m feeling at this point in Inktober. We’re 2/3 of the way through! Only 10 more days to go!
