Inktober 30: Rush
One more prompt tomorrow, and then another Inktober is finished for me!

Inktober 30: Rush
One more prompt tomorrow, and then another Inktober is finished for me!

Inktober 29: Massive
When you forget that your beach buddy is a giant alien-monster with tentacles….
Cthulhu to the rescue! This is the sequel to 24. Shallow, in which Mouse was overtaken by high tide. I have at least one other Cthulhu comic in mind for after Inktober, so keep an eye out!

Inktober 28: Sparkle
I’ve been under the weather with a cold, which forced me to hit pause on Inktober…but I’m so close, it seems silly not to finish. So Inktober is going to be Inkvember for me for a few days. And then after that, I’ll go back to posting comics twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. Stick around–there’s more to come!
And to everyone who posted their 31st Inktober entry today–congratulations! You made it!

Inktober 27: Beast
After all, the book title says….
I love the James Herriot books, and it occurred to me recently that I cannot recall the mention of mice, except in the context of a cat being a good mouser. Which probably would not please this particular audience very much.

Inktober 26: Remove
“Blessed is the man who, having nothing to say, abstains from giving us wordy evidence of the fact.”
~George Eliot

Inktober 25: Dangerous
Drawing evil mouse expressions is fun. 😏

Inktober 24: Shallow
…Until high tide, anyway.
I tried a frame-less format for this one, which I don’t think I’ll keep, but look for the “sequel” to this comic in a few days for “29. Massive.”

Inktober 23: Celestial
“Shoot for the Moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”
I have seen this quote attributed to several different people, but I don’t think any of them were astronauts.

Inktober 22: Scratchy
(Re-) Introducing Mouse’s friend, Hedgie! She starred in a one-off comic a few years ago, but I’d like to bring her in more often. She’s really fun to draw–it’s that crazy hairstyle.
This Inktober is turning into “Lab Mice & Friends,” what with Elephant, Hedgie, Cthulhu, Trevor the Toad, a spider, a dragon, and a horse all making appearances.

Inktober 21: Chains
October is not only Inktober, it’s also Dysautonomia Awareness Month! I have POTS, a blood circulation disorder and a form of dysautonomia (dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system), and this prompt made me think of the way I describe the fatigue related to POTS–like I have weights attached to all of my limbs. Standing up=imaginary weight lifting.
It’s also kind of how I’m feeling at this point in Inktober. We’re 2/3 of the way through! Only 10 more days to go!
If you would like to know more about POTS, the video “What is POTS?” by Dysautonomia International is a good introduction!
