I am one of those people who burns after about five minutes in the sun, so this is not a far exaggeration of what I look like outdoors during the summer.

Inktober 9: Sun
I am one of those people who burns after about five minutes in the sun, so this is not a far exaggeration of what I look like outdoors during the summer.

As it turns out, I’ve been napping a lot more than drawing over the last few days. This cold has been nasty. I am way behind on Inktober at this point, but I’m just going to pick up where I left off and keep going until I finish. It’s been nice to have everyone else’s Inktober entries to scroll through on Instagram to keep me entertained, and I’ve enjoyed cheering from sidelines. We can do it!

Inktober 6: Trek
🎶Star Trekkin’ across the universe
Boldly going forward ’cause we can’t find reverse🎶
My contribution to the collection of Star Trek references for this prompt.
A cold has put me behind, but I’m drawing in between long naps.

Inktober 3: Boots
What else lives in your boots, besides your feet? If you’re not careful, before long, it may start painting cave art down inside the toes. And if your boots reach the point of hosting an industrial revolution, you may as well just give up and get a new pair….

Inktober 1: Backpack
It’s that time of year again!
Look out–it’s a dinosaur riding a giraffe, being chased by a lion! I immediately thought of my husband playing with our niece and nephew when I saw this prompt. In spite of making an excellent galloping giraffe (which occasionally transmuted into a draft horse, and back again), I think Uncle Shaun would like to have traded in his knees by the end. 😁

Mouse never ate calamari ever again.
A Lovecraft-inspired comic from Inktober 2023: Rise.
Happy fishing!

One good thing about having seasons is that we always have something to complain about!
Comic from 2011, Standing on the Edge of Real Life.

This is probably also the location of many textbooks on the subject.
I wasn’t going to label the boxes, and then thought–what would the Greek heroes/heroines keep in their attics? They collect a lot of souvenirs on their adventures. Rummaging around in search of your old discus would be a perilous adventure in itself, among boxes containing Medusa’s head and Pandora’s “box” (jar).

Just keep swimming! Reposting this from last year–my one and only contribution to “Mermay.”

In case you were wondering why there’s so much pollen around lately….
