Inktober 4: Exotic

Inktober 4: Exotic

My knowledge of physics is about as complicated as a model atom made out of wire and painted balls of styrofoam. But when my husband suggested “exotic matter” for this prompt, I became curious. A bit of reading led me to the term “gluon,” and the discovery that physicists can become rather whimsical when they name things.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing!

What Was Napoleon’s First Name?

During a conversation with my husband and a friend, I suddenly couldn’t remember a relevant fact. “What was Napoleon’s first name?” I asked. I was met with a long silence, and wide-eyed stares.

Bonus: I have a degree in history.

We began speculating on what might have happened, had I asked such a question in an actual history class, particularly with certain professors (hint: I would no longer be here to ask foolish questions), and this comic was born.
